The Rowan Learning Trust Information

Governance at The Rowan Learning Trust

At The Rowan Learning Trust, strong governance is central to our mission of delivering high-quality education across our family of schools. Our governance structure ensures clear accountability, strategic oversight, and local engagement.

The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees, who are responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring financial integrity, and maintaining high educational standards. Supporting them are Local Governance Committees at each school, which oversee delegated aspects of school leadership and performance. These committees are empowered through a robust Scheme of Delegation, allowing decisions to be made close to the communities we serve.

Our governance model is built on collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to our values. Trustees and governors are expected to challenge, support, and uphold the Trust’s ethos, ensuring every child receives the best possible education.

Funding

Explore Our Funding Agreements

The Rowan Learning Trust operates under a clear and transparent framework of funding agreements that define how we are funded and governed as a multi-academy trust. These agreements ensure that each school within our Trust receives the support and resources it needs to deliver high-quality education.

Our Master Funding Agreement outlines the overarching terms and conditions under which the Trust operates. In addition, each individual school has its own Supplemental Funding Agreement, tailored to its specific context and needs. These documents reflect our commitment to accountability, equity, and excellence across all our schools.

We invite parents, staff, and stakeholders to explore these agreements to better understand how public funding supports our mission to maximise potential for all.

Equality, Diversity & Transparency at The Rowan Learning Trust

At The Rowan Learning Trust, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all staff and students. Our approach to equality is embedded in our policies, practices, and culture, ensuring fairness and respect across our Trust.

Gender Pay Gap Reporting

As required under the Equality Act 2010, we publish annual Gender Pay Gap Reports. These reports highlight the average earnings differences between male and female employees across our Trust. While we are confident in our equal pay practices—based on nationally agreed pay scales—we continue to monitor and address disparities to ensure equity in career progression and representation.

Equality Objectives

Our Equality Objectives (2024–2028) reflect our commitment to removing barriers to participation and achievement. We aim to nurture a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where every individual is valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED)

In line with the Equality Act 2010, we actively promote equality and eliminate discrimination through our policies and practices. Our Equality Policy outlines how we meet the PSED by ensuring fair treatment regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics.

Together, these commitments form the foundation of our inclusive ethos, ensuring that The Rowan Learning Trust remains a place where diversity is celebrated and everyone can thrive.
