Task 1

You’re a Gorilla who was born in the wild but are now being kept in captivity (in a zoo). The zoo is a nice place and the keepers are friendly but you’re missing your old home. Can you write a letter to the zoo to persuade them to let you go? Remember to organise your ideas into paragraphs.

Remember to edit and improve your work. Remember:

  • Punctuation
  • Sentence openers
  • Verbs
  • Conjunctions

Send me a photo or comment on Seesaw so I can read your lovely work.

Task 2

Research another animal. You can use the following headings to help structure your research:

Diet

Appearance

Social Structure

Modern Culture

Intelligence

Use my non-chron example about Apes (it’s on our Extra Ideas class learning page) to help you plan a non-chron of your own. You could use our ‘box it up’ method to organise all of your ideas.
